Max Shapiro is the Co-founder and Managing Partner at Cadenza Ventures. Cadenza is an early stage Venture Capital firm that has been investing in emerging technologies since 2018. Max has been instrumental in leading funding rounds for several technology startups that went on to become unicorns. Additionally, Max has been pivotal in bringing many institutional investors into the blockchain space. Most recently, he spearheaded efforts for Cadenza to launch a new investment vehicle focused on early-stage companies in the artificial intelligence and machine learning sectors. Prior to co-founding Cadenza, Max was a senior associate at BitMEX Ventures. Prior to BitMEX, Max was an investment associate at Blue Line Advisors, Inc. where he focused on middle market leveraged buyout investing throughout North America. Earlier in his career, Max was a financial consultant at Deloitte where he served private equity and investment banking clients. Max is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Max also holds a M.S. in Finance & Accounting and a B.S. in Finance & Accounting from Binghamton University.
