Dan Osman is Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) for Aspen Insurance UK and Head of London, Credit and Political Risks team for Aspen. Dan joined Aspen in January 2018 as senior underwriter before taking on the Head of CPR role in 2021 and becoming CUO AIUK in 2022. Prior to Aspen, Dan spent c. 17 years in the banking industry holding various roles in credit including; credit research, correlation trading, bond and CDS trading, loan and portfolio management. In his last banking role, Dan was a buyer of the credit insurance product developing a USD 10bn portfolio of insured risk globally and insurer counterparty risk management for one of the Japanese Mega Banks.

Dan is the Chairman of the Lloyds Market Association Political Risk Committee and is part of the market advocacy groups assisting in lobbying regulators for the development of the insurance product for banking clients and the development of a market based model wording. Dan is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
