Dirk has extensive experience in finance and business which he largely gained in investment and corporate banking, over nearly four decades. He has exposure across multiple disciplines including credit, corporate sales, business development and relationship management and also has extensive experience in the financing of trade and working capital, as well as structured and corporate finance.

He has held various leadership positions in leading international and South African banks. Prior to him joining UKEF in 2020, as Country Head for South Africa and other Southern Africa Countries, he also consulted for freight and logistic providers as well as some BBBEE entities.

He holds B.Com, MBA and LLB (Cum Laude) degrees.
