Sian Aspinall has worked in the credit and political risk insurance (CPRI) market for over 30 years. She started her career as a graduate trainee broker with Hogg Robinson in 1990 and was initially with BPL Global from 1992 to 1994. Moving across to underwriting she gained 14 years experience at AIG Europe and at Zurich, heading the Trade Credit and Political Risk team. After running an independent consultancy for a number of years providing advisory services to insurers, loss adjusters, brokers and law firms including independent peer review and expert witness work, Sian returned to BPL Global in 2014 and was appointed Joint Managing Director in 2015 and Group CEO in 2022, responsible for BPL’s strategic direction and global operations.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
