Sophie LLoretHead of Regulatory Change at Standard Chartered Bank
Sophie heads the Regulatory Change function within Technology and Innovation at Standard Chartered, and is responsible for defining the Group’s regulatory strategy in the technology and innovation space. As part of this role, she has been leading the advocacy efforts in response to the emerging regulatory trends aimed at ensuring a responsible use of AI in banking. She joined Standard Chartered from the Bank of England where she worked on a number of topical regulatory challenges such as the post-financial crisis programme of reforms. After heading the Bank of England’s European strategy team, she was in charge of developing the UK Central Bank’s position on the post-Brexit financial services relationship between the EU and the UK before she moved to Singapore and joined Standard Chartered.
