Maya is a managing director at FINTRAIL, a global financial crime consultancy that works with a broad range of financial institutions to ensure both regulatory compliance and effectiveness. In particular Maya oversees projects to advise on and implement the design of fincrime programmes for new or expanding firms, the adoption of new technology solutions and improved use of data. She has also conducted numerous audits and reviews for a broad range of traditional banks, digital banks and FinTechs. She has a strong background in promoting data-driven, tech-enabled compliance solutions that go beyond tick-box compliance to produce tangible results in identifying and reducing financial crime.

Prior to working at FINTRAIL, Maya worked at HSBC and Deutsche Bank in both London and the Middle East, where she led regional teams conducting financial crime assurance, business intelligence, and money laundering and corruption investigations.
