Don GerritsenHead of Benelux at UNPRI
Don Gerritsen joined Principles for Responsible Investment* (PRI) from the Dutch Investors Association for Sustainable Development (VBDO), a non-profit organisation, where he has been acting as Manager Sustainability & Responsible Investment since early 2014. In addition to this, Gerritsen also currently works as Guest Lecturer Stakeholder Engagement at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Prior to this, he worked for KPMG for five years in its Global Climate Change and Sustainability Services Network between 2009 and 2014. He fulfilled several roles, including that of Manager Global Climate Change and Sustainability Services Network in 2010 and that of Subject-matter Executive to Yvo de Boer between 2011 and 2013. Between 2008 and 2010, Gerritsen was the Dutch Government official at UN conferences and before this, in 2007, the was a programme officer on renewable energy at UNEP.
Gerritsen has a degree in Environmental Sciences (School of Management) of the Radboud University Nijmegen; in International Environmental Politics from the University of the West of England; in International and European Public Law from the University of Amsterdam; and in Investment Management of Marquette University.
