Mr. Mussie Kidane is a Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Pictet North America Advisors (PNAA), a US SEC-registered investment advisor dedicated to helping US and Canadian investors diversify their investment portfolios. He leads the investment team and is responsible for strategic and tactical asset allocation as well as the overall portfolio management decisions.

Prior to joining PNAA in August 2022, Mr. Kidane was the head of the Fund and Manager Research team at Pictet Wealth Management for 15 years. The ten-member team is responsible for selecting investment managers overseeing more than US$50billion in assets under supervision. Mr. Kidane joined Pictet Group in 2006 as senior analyst and portfolio manager and was promoted to head the team in 2007. He started his investment career at Lombard Odier Group in 2001 as analyst & portfolio manager.

Mr. Kidane graduated from the University of Geneva with double Master’s degrees in Econometrics and in Finance. He is also a CFA charter holder. Well-known in the global asset management industry, he is a regular speaker at major industry events. Over the years, Mr. Kidane has received numerous accolades among which are Citywire’s Europe’s Most Influential Selector Award in 2021 and Investment Europe’s Personality of the Year Award in 2016.

Mr. Kidane enjoys reading books in fields that range from philosophy to blockchain. He’s also an avid distance runner and has completed the all “Abbott World Major Marathons”.
