Daniel ChanManaging Director, Head of Citi Investment Management Asia at Citi Private Bank
Daniel is responsible for overseeing all Citi Investment Management (CIM) activities in the Asia Pacific region. He is a member of the CIM Global Leadership Committee. He is the Chairman of the CIM Asia Investment Committee.
Daniel is a seasoned investment professional with over 24 years of public and private equity investment experience. Prior to joining Citigroup, he was a founding member of The Dellacorte Group, a private equity firm focusing on middle market buyout transactions. He co-led the investment team in deal sourcing and financial due diligence.
Before joining Dellacorte, Daniel was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Wilmington Trust, responsible for managing discretionary investment portfolios for institutional and private investors. He was a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee, overseeing $26 billion of AUMs. He also led the development of a new high dividend yield strategy and became the co-manager of the product. Daniel started his career as an analyst at UBS and was later promoted to Director and Portfolio Manager, comanaging a non-US Equity product.
Daniel received a joint M.B.A. degree from the NYU Stern School of Business, London School of Economics and HEC School of Management, Paris. He also received a B.S. in Finance and Management from NYU Stern and is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Daniel L. Chan is a relevant individual of Citibank, N.A., Hong Kong branch and is authorized to engage in Type 1 (dealing with securities), Type 4 (advising on securities) and Type 9 (asset management) regulated activities in Hong Kong.
