Michael Anastasio is currently the Global Head of Operational Risk and Business Resilience at Point72, L.P. He is responsible for overseeing risk programs of all types, including enterprise, operational, investment, third party, compliance, reputational, information security, business resiliency, crypto and cyber risks.

Michael joined the Firm in 2020 as the Head of Operational Risk, and in that time has developed and implemented a comprehensive risk, control, and governance program. As a subject matter expert in this field, Michael is often sought out to share emerging trends and best practices in risk and control leadership and program development.

Michael came to Point72 from Charles Schwab where he worked as a Vice President / Head of Policies and Controls. Prior to Charles Schwab, he spent fourteen years at Goldman Sachs, beginning in the Controllers Division and rising to the Head of Control Oversight Group.

Michael graduated from Villanova University with a BA in Accounting and continues to serve on the Alumni Finance Committee. Earlier in his career he completed his MBA at the NYU Stern School of Business. Most recently, he successfully completed the Chief Risk Officer Certification program offered by Carnegie Mellon University, for professionals who value the Risk profession.
