Export Control Manager at Hitachi Europe

Clare has been involved in international trade for over 25 years. She started her career in freight forwarding and logistics, but her main focus for the past 19 years has been export control.

She has worked at Hitachi Europe Ltd (HEU) since 1997, originally responsible for logistics, trade and export control compliance for the Digital Media Group. In 2002, she was promoted to the position of Corporate Export Control Manager.

It is her responsibility to ensure that all of the business groups based throughout the EU remain compliant at all times and has implemented an effective compliance programme throughout the company. In addition to this, she also provides training, guidance and support to the other Hitachi Group Companies in Europe and liaises regularly with the Corporate Export Regulations Division of Hitachi Ltd in Japan.
