Sinéad Goss is the EMEA Head, AML, ABC and Sanctions Legal at Citigroup. Having originally trained and qualified as a corporate solicitor with CMS Cameron McKenna LLP, she joined Citi in 2007 as the EMEA Head, Investment Banking Legal. Sinéad fulfilled this role for 7 years, during which time she advised the bank on its role in several substantial transactions, including the takeover of Cadbury by Kraft Foods, before moving into her current role in 2014. As the EMEA Head, AML, ABC and Sanctions Legal, Sinéad provides legal advice to the bank on financial crime issues across the region and, in particular, was heavily involved in navigating the issues created by the US/EU sectoral sanctions regime in relation to Russia/Ukraine. Sinéad was named in the “40 under 40” list of rising stars in the legal profession by Financial News in 2013, and in their “Rising Stars Hall of Fame” for the legal profession in 2016.
