Alexandrina is a strategic-minded, millenial leader with an extensive background in financial services and a track record proven internationally during the last 15 years. Analytical mind, result-oriented, effective communicator in 6 languages and a sponsor of diversity and learning as a path for growth, she enjoys delivering highest quality results in strategy formulation and execution, business development, customer-centric business and operations transformation and innovation to achieve ambitious targets.
She joined ERGO Group – the primary insurance company of Munich Re , the world leader in re-insurance– in Düsseldorf - Munchen in February 2018 as Group Head of Projects and Overarching Activites where she is responsible for strategic and business development overarching projects driven by innovation and new technologies to serve both retail and commercial clients. She is also responsible for the Knowledge Management center and overarching initiatives within Munich Re group companies, eg. Hartford Steam Boile in the USA.
Between 2014-2018, Alexandrina covered various leadership positions in Generali Group based in Milan, as Head of Digital & IT Projects and Financial Management, Head of Advanced Analytics Research , Head of Operations Performance Management as well as being a member of the Strategic Task Force G2020 in Group CEOs division .
Since 2011, Alexandrina had worked for Allianz Group in Munich covering Senior positions in the Group’s Economic Research & Business Development division of Group CEO as well as being responsible for Investments Operations, Performance Management and Strategy and Quant methodology in the Investments Management division of the Group. Since 2005, Alexandrina had covered expert roles in Banking and Government International Affairs , having served as Project Management Officer of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs based in Jerusalem, Israel.
Alexandrina has spent five years in econometric and statistics research in France and Italy , applying and teaching quantitative models which represent human behaviour, decision making and attitude towards uncertain outcomes. During this journey, she worked with top experts, including Nobel Prize Laureate 2002 Prof. Daniel McFadden. Alexandrina taught Graduate Courses in Statistics, Finance and Microeconomics in various universities, and held speeches in +15 international conferences across Europe and Middle Asia. In 2012, Alexandrina was granted the joint PhD Degree in Economics and Finance from University of Verona and from Ecole Normale Superieure de Cachan (Sorbonne-Paris) being awarded with the Egide-Eiffel PhD Excellence Scholarship. She graduated with honours from the “Babes-Bolyai University” in Romania, earned a MA degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of Verona, a MSc degree in Econometrics from the University of Cergy-Pontoise in Paris and an executive leadership diploma from INSEAD.
