Radha is currently a Business and Operations Risk Manager for SEA, Korea and Japan at the Bank of NewYork Mellon based out of Singapore. She is responsible to ensure risks and control gaps are identified and appropriate action plans are implemented for managing these risks, consistent with risk appetite. She is accountable for implementation of company wide Risk Management Framework for the business she supports.
Radha joined BNY Mellon, London a decade ago responsible for direct long term credit (committed and uncommitted) for Broker Dealers, regulated and non-regulated funds including hedge funds, insurance companies and banks. She moved to Singapore in 2011 as Head of Operational Credit Risk supporting Treasury Services and Asset Servicing lines of business where she created a framework of the Operational Credit Risk function in APAC building a strong team to foster pro-active dialogue with other underwriting teams, lines of business and operating personnel. She provided global credit approval (daylight and overnight) in support of BNY Mellon's cash management and securities processing businesses.
Radha wrote a thought leadership paper on “Basel II and Collateralistion of Credit Exposures” which was widely distributed and discussed amongst BNY Mellon clients. She is active in several Employee Resource Groups like Diversity and Inclusion, Women’s Iniative Network (WIN) including holding leadership positions like Co-Chairing WIN Singapore Chapter.
Radha holds a Bachelors in Commerce and MBA from University of Mumbai, India and a Masters in Finance from Cranfield School of Management, England.
