Annelie Schnaar-Campbell Head of the Financial Impact and Strategy Unit at Standard Bank Group


Annelie Schnaar-Campbell is an executive at the Standard Bank Group. Her career has mainly been centered in the financial services industry with extensive experience in the development and adoption of risk management frameworks, strategic positioning within the context of emerging regulations and specific focus on group-wide Recovery and Resolution Planning. 

Annelie joined Standard Bank in 2004 in the capacity of Director, Group Risk Management where she was responsible for the group-wide adoption of Basel II. Subsequently she became the Global Head of Integrated Risk Management and thereafter the Standard Bank South Africa CRO.

Annelie is currently the Head of the Financial Impact and Strategy Unit. Her team conducts assessments of the implications of emerging regulations to enable the Group to appropriately position itself and to effectively engage with regulators and standard setting bodies. She is also responsible for the Standard Bank Group’s recovery and resolution planning.

Annelie has a BCom (Informatica), BCom Honours and MCom degrees from the University of Johannesburg and completed the AMLP (Advanced Management and Leadership Programme) at Oxford in June 2016. Previous experience includes working for Nedbank and Accenture in various capacities.
