Karyn Daud leads PwC's Risk Consulting Practice in the UK. Her career combines business strategy, regulatory change and risk experience. Her risk topics of focus are conduct and operational risk, which fall into the Non-Financial Risk Management umbrella. She works with clients primarily in the wholesale sector on topics centering on the assessment and implementation of regulatory change, outcomes-based monitoring, Operational Risk frameworks, management and controls.
In addition, Karyn is the co-lead of PwC’s UK LIBOR Transition team and on the PwC LIBOR Transition Global Steering Group. She is involved in understanding the impacts of the transition on firms and markets as well as developing PwC's tools and accelerators. The PwC Global Steering Group connects with Industry Bodies, Trade Associations and a broad range of market participants on the buy and sell side. Karyn sits on the client outreach Sub-Group of the Bank of England’s Working Group on Sterling Risk-Free Reference Rates.
Drawing on 20 years of industry experience working with firms and regulators, she has a strong interest in the interaction between Risk and Business strategy.
Prior to joining PwC, Karyn was a strategy partner and led work in regulation, cost efficiency, new business launch and business model design. Karyn has a BA (Honours) in Diplomatic History and a BS (Honours) in Decision Sciences and MIS from the University of Pennsylvania.
