Roselyne Renel is Global Head Enterprise Risk Management, of Standard Chartered Bank since October 2015. She joined the bank in 2014 as Group Chief Credit Officer with responsibility for oversight of the Group’s Credit Portfolio.
She is responsible for Portfolio Risk, Country Risk as well as Group Risk Measurement (risk analytics).
Roselyne is also Chair of the Group’s Credit Credit Approval Committee as well as the Principal Finance Investment Committee and the Underwriting Committee. She is the executive sponsor of Goal, the Group’s leading educational programme aimed at empowering adolescent girls globally. In this capacity, she sets strategy, mobilizes resources and builds internal employee momentum for the programme.
Roselyne is a member of Eurex Clearing AG (member of Deutsche Borse) Supervisory Board as well as vice-chair of the Eurex Clearing EMIR Risk Committee.
Roselyne has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. A career risk officer, she began building her expertise in Emerging Markets in the 1990s and has in-depth experience across EEMEA, Latin America and Asia in all areas of corporate and institutional banking. Prior to joining SCB, Roselyne spent 16 years at Deutsche Bank where she held various roles including that of Chief Credit Officer for Emerging Markets as well as the Corporate & Investment Banking divisions, and 2.5 years at Standard Bank of South Africa where she was the Chief Risk Officer for the Corporate & Investment Banking division.
