Rahul is the Managing Partner of SER Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm dedicated to investing in sustainable, environmental and renewable sectors across North America.
He is responsible for strategy, investment origination and execution, portfolio management, and setting a team-driven and inclusive culture. Rahul has a 20-year successful track record in sourcing, acquiring, building, financing and exiting clean power, renewable, and environmental businesses.
Previously, Rahul was a partner at Energy Capital Partners where he was involved in all areas of the firm’s investment activities with a focus on renewable and environmental sectors. Prior to departing ECP in 2018, Rahul also led the firm’s fundraising efforts. Prior to joining ECP at its founding in 2005, Rahul worked at Orion Power Holdings (a portfolio company created by Goldman Sachs private equity) as a Director of Finance shortly after its launch in 1999 through its IPO and ultimate sale in 2002, at Morgan Stanley as an investment banking analyst; and at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a business turnaround consultant.
Rahul is also a founder, former Board Chair and current Board and Executive Committee Member of StreetWise Partners, a non-profit established in 1997 that mentors impoverished adults who face barriers to a career and reliable income across three cities in the United States.
