Jocelyn Friel is a Managing Director with PGIM Real Estate Finance and serves as Portfolio Manager for PGIM REF’s third-party core mortgage accounts. Her responsibilities include investor service, reporting, and operational oversight for the company’s non-affiliated core mortgage accounts and core mortgage product strategy and development. She serves on the Investment Committee for PGIM Real Estate Debt Strategies, the real estate debt investment platform between PGIM Real Estate Finance and PGIM Real Estate. Jocelyn is based in San Francisco, CA.
Jocelyn has served in various investment roles since joining the company in 1997. From 1997-2000, she was a loan officer on the West Coast National Accounts Origination team. From 2001-2004, she worked with the CMBS group managing the structuring, pricing and hedging of the CMBS loan portfolio for securitization. From 2004-2008, Jocelyn worked in secondary markets investments, where she managed a team investing in real estate debt (whole loans, A and B-notes/participations, mezzanine loans, CMBS bonds and CRE CDOs) for internal accounts. During this time, she also served as collateral manager for the company’s CRE CDO business. In 2008, she began her current role in third-party portfolio management and product development, marketing the company’s commercial mortgage investment management capabilities, structuring investment accounts, and managing a commingled fund portfolio and single client accounts. Prior to joining Prudential, Jocelyn worked at AMB Property Corporation (now Prologis, Inc.) and U.S. Lend Lease Inc.
Jocelyn received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from George Washington University, and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst ® designation. Jocelyn is a member of CRE Finance Council, Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), and the CFA Society of San Francisco.
