Carlos is co-founder of Quilvest Private Equity’s Emerging Markets platform. With $1.8bn of capital under management, QPE EM manages Private Equity Investments in Asia and Latin America, as well as some exposure to Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Quilvest is the financial holding and family office of a Franco-Argentine industrial family, which was formed in 1917. Today Quilvest looks after some $35bn across all asset classes and $5.5bn in Private Equity, pioneering investments in the United States and Europe since 1972 and in Latin America and Asian PE since the1990s.

Carlos serves on a number of Investment Committees and Advisory Boards in PE, such as Quilvest Global PE, Verod Capital Management in West Africa and Altra Investments in the Andean region. He is also a member of the Latin Council of EMPEA, the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association. He was Co-Founder of the Quilvest Advisory services in Family Office creation and optimization, specialized in Private Equity platform development. He is based in the UAE where he serves as the Senior Executive Officer of Quilvest Dubai, overseeing co-investor relationships with regional family offices and institutions.

Carlos started his career at British Aerospace in the early 80’s and after his MBA embarked on a 10-year stint in consulting at Booz and Mercer. He shifted to the financial services sector in the late 90’s when he joined Banque Saradar as Head of Strategy, before assuming his functions at Quilvest in 2005.

Carlos received his MBA from INSEAD and a BSc in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College at the University of London. He is married and has twin daughters.
