Cathryn Chen is the Founder and General Partner of MarketX Ventures, a global venture capital firm focused on fintech, deeptech and vertical SaaS companies. MarketX Ventures deploys a barbell strategy looking at both early (seed to Series A) and growth stage special situations opportunities. MarketX Ventures has $250 million AUM with portfolio companies such as ByteDance, Stack Overflow, Meituan, NeuReality, and Emerge. Previously, Cathryn co-founded a financial literacy nonprofit called MoneyThink, which was selected as the Champion of Change by President Obama for helping America’s underprivileged youth to learn more about investments and entrepreneurship. She has been named on Forbes 30 Under 30 and a "Woman to Watch" at the Women's Forum Global Summit in Paris.
