Ms. Nguyen is the Deputy Head of Investment Funds at the International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), formerly Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). Ms. Nguyen serve as a member of the management team and Chair of the fund manager selection committee with responsibility for the implementation and oversight of the Investment Funds’ emerging markets private equity & venture program.
Ms. Nguyen leads the formulation and evaluation of investment strategy and policies; development of the program’s asset allocation plan and risk management framework; development and recommendation of investment mandates, service providers and investment management tools and systems; and, management of the department’s 12 investment staff in carrying out responsibilities of origination, monitoring, performance analysis and reporting functions of the private equity program.
The DFC achieves its mission by providing investors with financing, political risk insurance, and support for private equity investment funds. Established as an agency of the U.S. Government in 1971 and as the successor entity to OPIC, the DFC operates on a self-sustaining basis at no net cost to American taxpayers.
