Ms. Nguyen is the Deputy Head of Investment Funds at Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC, in transition to the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation). Ms. Nguyen serves as a member of the management team and chair of the fund manager selection committee with responsibility for the implementation and oversight of the Investment Funds’ emerging markets private equity & venture program and its 12-member investment team. She leads the department’s transition to the DFC and is responsible for the formulation and evaluation of the program’s investment strategy and policies; development and execution of its asset allocation plan and risk management framework; development of new investment mandates and investment management tools and systems. With 30 years of transactional experience in emerging markets, focusing on highly developmental investments, Ms. Nguyen has keen interest in loan restructurings and fund workouts. OPIC (and its successor agency, the DFC) achieves its mission by providing investors with financing, political risk insurance, and support for private equity investment funds. Established as an agency of the U.S. Government in 1971, the Corporation operates on a self-sustaining basis at no net cost to American taxpayers.
