Omar is a Partner at Ruya Partners, the region's first partner-owned ESG private credit firm headquartered in ADGM. He is Ruya's Chief Strategy Officer, Investment committee member, and Head of ESG. Omar has over 23 years of experience gained in the Middle East, the U.S., and Europe, holding senior roles at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Man Group, Franklin Templeton Investments, and NBK Capital Partners.

He spent the first nine years of his career in asset raising and institutional fundraising roles in the U.S. at John W Henry & Co., TradeStation Securities. He began his career 1999 as a high-frequency equity trader for JGM Securities in Miami.

He holds a Business Management degree from Florida Atlantic University.
