Rafik Mzah is Senior Partner and Group General Secretary of the AfricInvest Group.

Before joining AfricInvest, Rafik was an Associate lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in Paris, where his practice focused on corporate and financial matters, particularly M&A and capital markets transactions.

Uniquely positioned as one of the most experienced private equity fund managers in Africa, AfricInvest has dedicated investment teams focused on North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa based in seven offices (Abidjan, Algiers, Casablanca, Dubai, Lagos, Nairobi, Port Louis Paris and Tunis).

Rafik graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) Business School in Paris. He received a Master in Business Law and a Master in Financial, Banking and Capital Markets Law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. Rafik is a member of the Paris Bar and was co-chairman the Legal and Regulatory Committee of the African Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (AVCA).
