Shane joined NextEnergy Capital in 2019. He has over 20 years’ experience in infrastructure and renewable energy, where he has closed numerous M&A and debt transactions in Europe, the Americas, the Gulf, Asia and Australia. For the last number of years, Shane has focused on fundraising and most recently was Head of Institutional Fundraising at Downing LLP where he created their first institutional fund.

Prior to this Shane was one of the initial Directors at Rubicon Infrastructure Advisors where he led a number of capital raises including a USD 750 million raise for a global infrastructure and solar platform. He also led a number of buy side and sell side M&A deals whilst there.
