Chris Philp is one of the two Co-Founders of Pluto Finance, a leading provider of residential development and bridge financing in the UK. After graduating with a first class Masters Degree in Physics from University College, Oxford, Chris joined McKinsey and from there established a start-up logistics company, which he subsequently floated on AIM. Chris and Justin Faiz, a colleague from university, established Pluto in 2004 and the focus was initially on real estate development. Pluto evolved into loan management in 2010 when it secured a contract to work-out an existing residential real estate lending portfolio and in 2011 Pluto secured institutional funding for its first private credit fund. Pluto has now raised five private credit funds with investor capital totalling £671m. Two of these funds have been realised and three are currently being deployed in the UK residential development and bridge financing market. Pluto has now lent over £1bn to 124 residential real estate projects consisting of over 5,000 units.
