Richard joined Darby in 2007 and is responsible of the management of Darby’s Latin American Private Debt Funds. He serves as the Investment Committee Chairman for Fund II and Fund III and sits on the board of directors of multiple portfolio companies that includes Bioerix S.A. (Uruguay), and VREC (Brazil). Richard was also a board member of Avantel (Colombia), and TEBSA (Colombia). He has over 20 years of principal investment experience in emerging markets including 8 years as a Senior Investment Officer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group focusing primary on Latin American debt and private equity transactions. Richard began his career at Goldman Sachs Group’s New York Investment Banking Division. He holds his MBA and BSc in management from Georgetown University. Richard has US/Colombian citizenship and speaks English and Spanish.
