Salome is the founder and CEO of Lamaria Capital – a New York-based private equity fund focused on identifying and participating in underinvested growth sectors in Georgia and the broader CIS. By combining local knowledge and expertise, the reliability and protections of a US-domiciled investment fund, and a focus on stable, business-friendly markets, Lamaria Capital seeks to deliver the outsized returns of emerging markets investments while minimizing associated risk.
Previously, Salome served as the CFO and COO of XLP, Corp. – a New York-based single family office and technology investment firm. In her role at XLP, Salome oversaw project pipelines, potential investment due diligence, monitoring portfolio investments, fund raising, tax efficiency strategy development, and all PR and investor relations efforts for XLP and its subsidiaries.
Originally from Georgia, Salome holds a dual degree in Political Science and Psychology/Neuroscience, Magna Cum Laude, from Columbia University in the City of New York.
Prior to joining XLP, Salome spent two years at a prominent cross-border investor relations consultancy on Wall Street, where she worked with various publicly traded companies representing a wide array of industries, market caps, and global geographies. She constructed and managed fundraising roadshows, industry outreach efforts, and market research and analysis efforts on behalf of client companies. Salome has extensive experience in startup structuring, team creation, and product development. She has started and successfully executed startups in New York, Boston, and Tbilisi, Georgia.
