Jim joined HKW in 1999. His primary responsibility is to lead the firm’s Investor Relations and Co-investment programs. He travels regularly to meet with limited partners, co-investment funding sources, and lending institutions across North America. Prior to HKW, Jim worked as vice president and general counsel for Browning Investments. He also served as director of finance and counsel to the city of Indianapolis mayor and chief of staff for the Indiana state treasurer. He earned his J.D. from Indiana University-Bloomington and his B.A. from Wabash College. Jim lives in Carmel, IN with his wife Maryann. Their two children attend college, one at Wake Forest University and the other at the United States Military Academy at West Point. When not in the office, Jim and Maryann enjoy traveling to watch college sports.
