Edgar Smith is the founder of Beyond26 Consulting which provides strategic investment advice to institutional investors and investment firms. He was formerly the Chief Investment Officer for the Directors Guild of America (DGA) Plans. At the DGA Plans, he was the first internal CIO and managed portfolios with assets over $4bn. Prior to the DGA, he was a Managing Director at the University of Southern California Investment Office with research responsibility across both private and public asset classes. Prior to joining USC, he was a senior investment professional at the Archstone Partnerships, a multi-billion fund of hedge fund firm. He began his career at JPMorgan in the Hedge Fund Counterparty Risk and Equity Derivatives desks. He holds a B.A in economics and history from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia University. Mr. Smith is a CFA charterholder.
