Weichou Su is a Partner with the StepStone Group. He is based in the firm’s Beijing office and is responsible for the firm’s investment activities in the Asia region, including primary, secondary and co-investments. StepStone is a leading manager of private equity programs globally, with over $70 billion in asset under allocation and management.

Prior to joining StepStone, Mr. Weichou Su was a Managing Director of the Hina Group, an investment banking and private equity firm with a focus on Greater China. At Hina, Mr. Su was head of the technology team and led the company’s M&A advisory practice.

Before joining the Hina Group, Mr. Su held a number of operational and investment roles as a senior executive for Asia Pacific with leading global telecom and technology companies. Mr. Su was also Managing Director of the United States Information Technology Office (USITO) in China where he served as an industry leader to promote trade and investment in the technology sector.

Mr. Su holds a joint MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and an MA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
