Ning MaFounding Partner at Lingfeng Capital
Ning MA founded Lingfeng Capital in July 2015, a private equity firm focusing on investing in the fast growing and highly profitable consumer finance and fintech sectors in Great China.
Prior to founding Lingfeng, Ning had been working with Goldman Sachs for thirteen years, where he was the Co-head of Asia Pacific Financial Institutions Equity Research and Head of Research in China. While there, Ning was also a member of Goldman Sachs China Operating Committee and a member of the Asia Pacific Client and Business Standards Committee. During 2002 to 2015, Ning played key roles in eighteen major privatization and fundraisings of top Chinese financial institutions. Since 2007, Ning was frequently ranked No. 1 Asia/China Banks Equity Analyst by Institutional Investor and Asia Money, with insights consistently valued and praised by top-tier institutional investors, including Fidelity, Capital Group, Soros, KKR, Temasek and GIC etc. Since 2006, Ning has been advising China’s top internet companies regarding their financial business buildup.
Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ning was a regulator at the Headquarter of the People’s Bank of China for around five years, where he was highly involved in the regulation, financial reform and policy making for foreign banks and non-bank financial institutions including trust companies, asset management companies, finance companies and leasing companies in China.
Ning received his MBA degree from London Business School in 2002, and M.S degree from Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance in 1996
