Paolo Pio is a tech executive turned venture capitalist driving innovation in health and wellness. He is the co-founder and General Partner of Exceptional Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in London focused on helping people live happier, healthier, and longer lives. Exceptional Ventures has a diverse portfolio of over 20 startups and aims to drive innovation and positive change in the health and wellness industry. Paolo is also an angel investor and actively serves on various startup boards and advisory roles.

Previously, Paolo served as the Managing Director for Europe at Joyance Partners. He pioneered the expansion of US-based VC operations, investing in 25 health and happiness startups across Europe and fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial community. His efforts were recognised by Pitchbook and TechCrunch. Paolo's career began at Cisco, where he drove product innovation and business development, achieving remarkable growth in global markets.

Paolo is deeply committed to holistic well-being, embracing practices such as meditation, nutrition, and exercise. He co-founded and oversees a fitness training boot camp in London, embodying his belief in the transformative power of health and wellness.

With an Executive MBA from London Business School and an MS in Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Paolo combines academic rigour with entrepreneurial spirit and leadership to drive meaningful change worldwide.
