Christian Hjort is a Senior Lead Tax Counsel with Ørsted, a Danish headquartered global renewable energy company. He is responsible for Ørsted’s tax policy engagements and global tax controversy management. In this capacity, he engages in dialogue with policymakers and other stakeholders on how tax policy can help support and enable the green transformation. In his previous roles, he has acted as principal tax advisor on several largely renewable investment decisions, M&A projects as well as offered continuous ad hoc tax advice in relation to structuring and transfer pricing matters. Before joining Ørsted, Christian was an associate in the tax team of the Danish first tier law firm, Plesner. Christian holds master degrees in law from University of Copenhagen and University of Cambridge.
