Rav started his career at IG, starting within the Client Services team and over the years, moved through various departments including Product Control, Middle Office and Finance Transformation, before establishing the Transaction Reporting department.

After designing the firm’s reporting infrastructure and rebuilding several processes, he set up and led offshore teams before taking over the firm’s Commercial reporting.

Rav later moved onto heading up Business Transformation for a prime broker and is currently Head of Operations at OANDA.

With 14 years’ experience within the derivative product sector, he is viewed as a technical subject matter expert in process, control framework design, and regulatory reporting.

The RDF was set up in 2017 after witnessing the pain and ambiguity firms in the CFD industry were facing during the build up of MiFIR.

What started as initially a few firms grew over the years, and the RDF now has 40 firms in attendance made up of key Retail brokers, consultants and vendors, who together, take a view on what they believe regulators are expecting firms to be doing within their transaction reports.

The RDF covers regulations across the globe, including MiFIR (UK+EU), EMIR (UK+EU), ASIC, MAS and IIROC. Over time, the RDF has responded to various consultation papers and formed best practice papers.
