Lord Briggs, Justice of The Supreme Court - Keynote Session
It was a real pleasure to co-chair this new and thought provoking conference.
The speakers were all of a high calibre, delivering content which generated lively debate.
This was an exciting inaugural conference – a great atmosphere in an exciting and novel place. The sessions were very interactive, with a good mix of delegates, all participating actively in the sessions. I would highly recommend it to anyone practising in the private client, trusts or family law arenas.
Trusts in Litigation conference highlights
ConTrA (the network for Contentious Trusts Association) teamed up with Knect365 to deliver a new, fresh look at the world of trusts in litigation.
This conference proudly supported the future leading lights in Trust Litigation with a new and exciting speaker line up focusing on the next generation of Partners and new and future QCs. Whilst maintaining a mix of senior speakers and delegates, the rising stars of the industry are being given a platform to speak and an opportunity to network in the plentiful social activities on offer.
Our 2019 Conference aims to build on this concept and maintain a high degree of interaction between the varying levels of advisors present.
What we covered in 2018:
Trusts are prevalent in many areas of law and issues relating to them can arise in numerous scenarios. This conference discussed contentious trusts proceedings as well as the interaction of trusts with other areas including:
- Civil Fraud
- Real Estate
We paired trust practitioners with experts in these fields for unique and enlightening discussions.
The 2019 conference will continue to bring advisors from different industry areas together to debate the areas in which they cross with trust practitioners.
Unique Social Activities
2018 included a trip to the Blue Lagoon for swimming and cocktails as well as a Half Day Golden Circle Tour and a plentiful selection of drink receptions.

Trusts in Litigation Speaker Panel Includes
This was a very interesting and lively conference. It had the best interplay between the panels and the floor that I have ever witnessed
THE HON. MR JUSTICE MOSTYN,
ROYAL COURTS OF JUSTICE, LONDON, FAMILY DIVISION
This was one of the best conferences I have been to in a very long time. The quality of the speakers and discussion was first rate, but it was the exchange of ideas and interaction between the panels and the delegates which I thought distinguished this from other similar events
29 Bedford Row
Sure to become a firm fixture in the conference calender – an innovative and high quality event

The aim of the conference was to create an affordable event which offers a new speaker line up, supporting both the new generation of partners and QCs, as well as having the usual mix of senior partners and advisers. Very few, if any, conferences engage the junior partners and Associates and we believe it is essential to both support and develop this demographic as they both have a huge say in the way litigation is progressed as well as ensuring good relationships are maintained and created early on in an individual’s personal career journey.
Hopefully after attending Iceland - you will agree with us that this mix worked very effectively.
The conference will cover Trust litigation as well as taking a wider view of where trusts interact with other areas, such as civil fraud, insolvency, real estate and matrimonial work. This will allow attendees to mix with both trust litigators and a range of different other specialists.
The conference format was not only informative and interactive but fun, partly because of the mix of varying levels of solicitors and counsel who attended
