Event Partners 2019
BLP is an international law firm with over 850 lawyers, including more than 200 partners across 13 offices including Abu Dhabi, Berlin, Brussels, Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Moscow and Singapore. We are active in eight major sectors and across a range of industries – last year we worked or had clients in 130 countries worldwide.
We deliver premium, multi-disciplinary work which is reflected in independent legal directories where we rank in over 70 legal disciplines. We have completed award winning, multi-disciplinary assignments for clients across a range of sectors and industries including, entrepreneurial private businesses and individuals, FTSE 100 companies and financial institutions, major multinationals and the public sector.
Our innovative and client-centric approach has ensured that 80% of our top 20 clients in 2001 still instruct us today. In addition, a third of our business has been with us for more than a decade.
Private Client Litigation
The BLP Private Client Litigation team is headed up by Rupert Ticehurst, who is assisted by Senior Associates Jessica Henson and Simon Goldring. The team act on high value, international and high-profile cases involving complex and often ground-breaking issues.
The team focus on a small number of very high value cases (rather than a large number of low value cases), in order to provide fantastic client service: this is why clients instruct BLP’s Private Client Litigation team and why they stay with us.
Unlike most of our peer firms who divide their contentious and non-contentious practitioners, our contentious trust lawyers are also practising trust and tax specialists. Accordingly, our litigators have a profound understanding of tax and trusts which often makes them more effective than pure litigators.
