Nicole Boyson is the Patrick F. and Helen C. Walsh Research Professor of Finance at Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business. Her interests include investments, household finance, and corporate finance, with a focus on conflicts of interest, regulatory arbitrage, hedge fund activism. Her work has been published in the highest-ranked academic and practitioner journals in the field. Prior to joining Northeastern, Boyson was an assistant professor at Purdue. Prior to joining Purdue, she was a manager for Ernst & Young, the VP of Investments for Pension Consulting Services, an analyst for Third Federal Savings and Loan, and a senior accounting at KPMG Peat Marwick. Boyson has a BBA from Kent State University, an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, a Ph.D. in finance from The Ohio State University, and is also a CPA.
