Profile

Alison Kellett is a highly experienced dispute resolution and investigations lawyer based in London.

She was previously UK Head of Global Dispute Resolution for BNP Paribas where she has spent the last 15 years advising on disputes and investigations impacting the banking and financial services sector. Her litigation practice has covered all aspects of corporate and institutional banking products and services, including LIBOR, FX, CDS, mis-selling of derivatives, class actions as well as trust and asset recovery litigation. She has experience of working across multiple jurisdictions including across EMEA, US, Channel Islands and Curacao and of dealing with high net worth individuals. Alison is also a highly effective negotiator for complex problems.

Alison has significant experience in running major investigations conducted by the UK Serious Fraud Office, Financial Conduct Authority, and Prudential Regulation Authority, as well as the US Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, ICE and various regulators globally.

She also has extensive experience in whistleblowing and internal investigations, providing crisis and reputation management at board level, along with delivering training programmes across both legal and business functions.

Alison regularly advises on compliance matters such as money laundering reporting and defence SARs, as well as the use of off-channel communications.

Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Alison spent 10 years at a magic circle firm working on the leading banking mis-selling case of JPMorgan -v- Springwell, as well as defamation, product liability, corporate and banking disputes and financial crime investigations and political work.

Alison is currently President of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal, the first female to hold the role, elected in February 2022.
