With over 10 years' experience as a specialist in risk management, finance, regulatory reporting and team leadership, Edgars is skilled in using various software tools (including R, Python, SPSS, EViews, etc.) and implementing new modelling and reporting solutions.

Edgars joined Rietumu Banka in January 2023 as Head of Enterprise Risk Management, where the main activity is to build the risk management framework, improve the three line of defence model and strengthen the risk culture. Edgars holds a BSc and MSc from the University of Latvia in Mathematical Economics.
