Profile

Mia Hinnerich holds a permanent position as Assistant Professor at Stockholm Business School (SBS) where she serves as Head of the Bachelor’s Program in Finance and as a board member of SBS. She is currently also a lecturer at the Master’s in Finance program at ISEG, University of Lisbon.

She is an experienced lecturer and researcher in finance, specializing in derivatives pricing, investment portfolio management and fixed income modelling, with a newborn interest for sustainable fixed income products. Prior to joining the SBS in 2012, she worked as an Assistant Professor at the School of Economics and Business for three years. During the early years of her career she spent four years in the banking and insurance sector as a risk and performance analyst at the asset management departments of Trygg-Hansa and SEB, and as an analyst at the institutional investors department at the Swedish National Debt Office.

She has published articles in internationally recognized peer review journals including the Journal of Banking and Finance, and her work has been presented at numerous international conferences. She earned a PhD in Finance at Stockholm School of Economics in 2007, after which she was a post-doc fellow at Risklab, ETH in Zurich and at the Mathematics Departments at Aarhus University in Denmark. She also holds a BA and a MSc in Mathematics from Stockholm University and a BA and MSc in Economics and Business Administration from Linköping University.
