Labi is a Partner at Kuramo Capital Management, a New York headquartered alternative assets manager investing across Africa and sits on the Investment Committee of the firm. Previously, Labi was the Head of Client Coverage and Origination for Rand Merchant Bank Nigeria, where he led the Leveraged Finance and Debt Financing Group and served on both the Executive and Credit Committee for the Bank. He was also a Principal with Actis, a leading emerging markets private equity firm, where he served on special secondment working directly for the Chief Investment Officer. He has also worked in leveraged finance, corporate finance and structured finance at Wells Fargo (formerly Wachovia), Credit Suisse First Boston and J.P. Morgan. Labi holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
