Sewu-Steve Tawia is a finance leader with over 20 years of experience in impact investing, development & blended finance, strategy consulting, angel investing and venture capital/private equity funds and fund of funds in Europe and Africa. As an emerging or frontier technologies for investing expert, he is currently Managing Partner at Jaza Rift Ventures, a leading $50m seed fund backing innovative and resilient healthtech, medtech and biotech startups founders across Africa.

Sewu-Steve is an alumnus of London Business School (UK), Audencia Business School (France), and has an executive leadership certificate in social entrepreneurship (EPSE) from Stanford GSB (USA). He holds a number of professional charters: including CDFP (Digital Finance), CAIA (Alternative Investments), CIFE (Islamic Finance), Prince 2 (Project Management) and Toastmasters (public speaking). He’s a speaker, advisor (NED, IC), coach and mentor to various local and international organisations., his is also a JKA Karate Shotokan (3rd Dan) and Kizomba instructor.
