Shafeeq Abrahams is the Chief Executive and Principal Officer of the Eskom Pension and Provident Fund, a defined benefit fund serving approximately 80,000 members with Assets Under Management of approximately R190 billion.

The Eskom Pension and Provident Fund is regulated by the Financial Services Conduct Authority and is invested in a diversified set of asset classes which includes both listed and unlisted investments within domestic, African and global markets.

Shafeeq is a non-executive director of Batseta Council of Retirement Funds in South Africa and serves on the advisory boards of the World Pension Summit and AssetTV. Shafeeq is a qualified Chartered Accountant by profession.
