Michael Steingold is Director, Private Markets, based in London. He leads the firm’s research of unlisted infrastructure managers globally, as well as real estate in the Asia-Pacific region. Michael serves as portfolio manager for select client portfolios investing in infrastructure, real estate and private debt. Michael has worked on consulting projects in private markets for large government, industry and corporate pension clients. He has previously been based in the firm’s Tokyo and Seattle offices.

Michael joined Russell Investments in 2014 from Prologis, a US-based real estate investment trust. As an analyst in the research and strategy team, he covered the industrial real estate markets of Brazil, China and Japan, providing input into individual investment decisions and corporate strategy.

Michael is a current or past member of the Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (ANREV), the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and CFA Society Seattle, where he is a past chairman of the Young Professionals Network. He previously served on the research committee of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF).
