Profile

George Barrios is an award-winning, former Fortune 500 C-Suite executive with a verifiable track record in public company leadership and public market value creation. In 2020, following a distinguished corporate career in media, entertainment, and sports, Barrios founded Isos Capital Management, a boutique, full-stack investment and advisory firm built by operators for operators that is uniquely positioned to identify and execute on global sports, entertainment, media, and technology opportunities.

As Founder & Co-CEO, Barrios oversaw the firm’s first major transaction completing a $2.6 billion business combination with Bowlero Corp. which resulted in Bowlero trading on the NYSE and outperforming all major indices by significant margins post-IPO. Barrios serves as Co-Managing Partner of Isos7 Sports, a sector-specific, hyper-focused private equity fund that provides growth capital and operational expertise to a targeted set of assets across the global sports landscape, including leagues, teams, and ancillary businesses in North America, Europe, and pan-Asia, that deliver unmatched consumer value and have multiple levers for growth and expansion. Isos Capital, which is 100% founded and led by a diverse management team, has established a “doing well to do good” corporate initiative and has committed 1% of its profits to support underrepresented populations and underserved communities.

Prior to Isos Capital, Barrios served as Co-President and Board Member of WWE leading the company through transformative change and building a multi-platform media enterprise that created $5 billion of shareholder value over a six-year period of rapid global growth. More recently, Barrios re-joined WWE’s Board and guided the property through a sales process that valued the company at more than $9 billion.

In 2017, Institutional Investor ranked Barrios among the top 3 CFOs in the Media Industry as part of its All-America Executive team rankings. He has held leadership roles in finance, strategy, and operations at The New York Times, Praxair, Time Warner, and HBO. He received his MBA from the University of Connecticut School of Business, and serves as a Board member of WWE and Make-A-Wish.
